Interview on The Songwriter's Space

Erik's Home Studio in Connecticut

I will be sitting for an interview with my Quiet Corner Songwriters Group cohort Erik Peterson for a 30 minute interview talking about the art, craft and inspiration of songwriting, in particular my own songwriting. The interview will be available afterwards on the Facebook page for the Songwriter's Space. Check out the two interviews currently on his site and I'm hoping (as I am sure Erik is hoping) that this will be the first of several songwriter profiles for songwriters in the Greater Worcester, Rhode Island and Northeast Connecticut area.

Songwriter's Mind Showcase

Starlite, 39 Hamilton St., Southbridge, Mass

A little over a month ago, Matt Soper, the organizer of the Songwriter's Mind showcase at Starlite in Southbridge decided to let the various songwriters connected to the series write songs on topics randomly chosen by the songwriters themselves. We were all randomly assigned song titles and then given a month to finish our songs and record them to a streamable platform. Not long after came the idea for a showcase night, which will be on Wednesday October 23rd starting at 7:30 pm and going until we are all done. I will be appearing toward the end of the evening (due to work committments) but I will be there with my song on my chosen for me topic, Rammellzee.

And I just finished my demo which is up on Soundcloud at https://soundcloud.com/michael-gutierrez-may/rammellzee and the demo is also on my musician page on Facebook (Michael Gutierrez-May music page).
